Adult Day Support

NHI provides many services and supports as well as activities during the day. Learning opportunities and skill training are combined with activities such as:

Arts & Crafts

Computers

Books & Literature

Puppetry
Games

Music

Gardening

 

 

NHI offers community outings on a regular basis that include:

 

Bowling

Fishing

Swimming

Shopping

Movie Theatre


As well as many community volunteer opportunities.

 

Vocational Habilitation

NHI contracts with local businesses to provide our employees with the opportunity to participate in paid contract work in our facility. This can include Janitorial, light assembly, shredding etc.

 

Transportation

NHI is certified by the Ohio State Department of MRDD as a non-medical transportation provider. If you choose NHI as your transportation provider, we will transport you to your chosen day service location. Currently NHI uses modified vans which means we can transport those individuals who use wheelchairs or other devices. Our drivers are all certified in First aid and CPR and are trained according to the regulations provided by the Ohio Depatment of MRDD to work with individuals with disabilities.

Community Employment Services

The community staff  assist individuals in locating appropriate employment and completing the application process.


Trainers facilitate transportation to and from work as well as assist with the initial training required for the job.

Respite Program

NHI offers Saturday activities two times per month for those individuals who do not receive a Medicaid waiver and also live

at home. Respite services are provided for adults and children. Activities may include but are not limited to bowling, concerts,

ball games, zoo trips etc. NHI provides transportation and trained staff for these events.
